Sustainability workshops to be held

BUNDABERG people are invited to join Bunnings Warehouse Bundaberg's Sustainable Christmas DIY Workshops on the weekend of November 14 and 15.

During the workshops residents will learn about composting and worm farms, as well as how to save energy and water around the home during this busy period.

It's important to learn sustainable practices to reduce waste, such as how to build and maintain worm farms as well as tips on how to implement important recycling initiatives at home over the holidays.

How to save energy and water around the home will also be a focus of the workshops, with residents having the chance to learn ways they can reduce their energy and water usage at a time when it is often very high.

Bunnings Warehouse Bundaberg Complex Manager, Brad Thompson, said residents are encouraged to take part in the Sustainable Christmas DIY Workshops in November to get ready for the holiday season.

"Our Sustainable Christmas DIY Workshops aim to give residents the knowledge and advice they need to ensure their Christmas and holiday season has as little impact on our environment as possible, as well as saving on costs at the same time," said Brad.
