Stunt-mad family goes for a ride

LAST year when the monster trucks were in Bundaberg, motocross rider Clinton Moore had a new type of adrenalin rush when he delivered his own daughter after his partner went into labour unexpectedly.

But this year, it is his partner Brooke Duncan who is in for a wild ride, as she has joined the monster truck crew as a stunt girl.

Strapped to the bonnet of a car, Ms Duncan will become the Human Inferno as she smashes through the Blazing Wall of Fire.

Meanwhile, Mr Moore will be risking life and limb with daredevil motocross stunts, and legendary driver Kreg Christensen (from the USA) will showcase the awesome power of the world's most destructive trucks.

Organiser Clive Featherby said the original line-up of four trucks had nearly doubled in size, making Bundaberg's event the biggest regional show in Australia.

“It's the last run before the world finals in Brisbane on November 14, so we have monster trucks from all over the world,” Mr Featherby said.

'Tour of Destruction' Saturday at the Bundaberg Showgrounds Gates open at 4pm Telephone 0447 TRUCKS (878257) for tickets. Kids: $25, Adults: $35, family pass $100.
