Money's Creek water study complete

AT the beginning of the year the Bargara Golf Club received a $38,636 grant from the Federal Government to start an important hydrology study of the Money's Creek lagoon and to increase community involvement.

This study, involving the computer modelling of the inflows and outflows as well as the dynamics of the water within the lagoon, has now been completed and the hydrologist's findings and recommendations will be presented at a final public meeting.

The study will provide the basis for an ongoing program of remedial works to revitalise the lagoon and open it up for increased community enjoyment.

The club welcomes all those interested in hearing more about the results of this project to attend a public meeting on October 6 at 7pm at the Bargara Golf Club.

To RSVP, telephone Mike Rennie on 4159 2179.
