A NORTH Bundaberg High School student has shared video he made from photos as bushfires blazed near his school on October 22.

Carlin Douglass said his class was right next to the field.

"We were watching it for a while until the teachers realised what was going on and we were evacuated," he said.

Carlin said he was well prepared for the situation.

"Learning about natural disasters and bushfires, specifically in geography (which ironically was the class we were waiting for at the time) prepared us for  situations like this," he said.
