Storms roll in over south-east Qld

SOUTH East Queensland is set for a drenching with thunderstorms and heavy rain forecast for this evening and  tomorrow.

The Weather Bureau expects the Darling Downs, Toowoomba, the Wide Bay andBurnett, Bundaberg and Hervey Bay regions to be affected by rain over the next 24 - 48 hours.

The Weather Bureau expects thundery rain to spread across the southeast coast and west across the southern interior tonight.

The rain should ease to showers on Tuesday afternoon, then return by mid Wednesday.
