Storm warning cancelled

A SEVERE thunderstorm warning issued for the Bundaberg region by the Bureau of Meteorology earlier this morning has been cancelled.

“The immediate threat of severe thunderstorms has passed, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings will be issued if necessary,” the message read.

A storm warning had been in place since early this morning for areas including Bundaberg, Gladstone, Rockhampton and Mackay.

The Bureau predicts heavy rain to continue throughout the night and tomorrow morning.
