A STORM moving through the Bundaberg region has caused houses to be without power, traffic lights to go out and there are reports of lightning strikes and fire.

It is believed lightning struck a flag pole at the Isis Central Mill Bowling Club while patrons were inside.

Childers Rural Fire Brigade has confirmed cane trash piles were set on fire at Aussie Prime Fibres.

Fire crews called about 8pm.

Tahnee Hope Foster said "drains near Melbourne Hotel are flooded over the road and part of Targo St near Dan Murphy's driveway is flooded on park side.
