
BoM issues storm warning for Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay
UPDATE 4PM
THE Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe storm warning for the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay.
At 3.45pm severe thunderstorms with damaging wind, heavy rainfall and large hailstones were detected on weather radar near Cabolture and Burpengary.
These thunderstorms are moving towards the east and are forecast to affect Beachmere by 4:15 pm and Deception Bay waters, Bribie Island and northern Bribie Island by 4:45 pm.
1PM STORMS are tipped to rock south east and central Queensland and north east New South Wales this afternoon and tonight.
Sunshine Coast based Higgins Storm Chasing are predicting maximum instability levels along coastal regions with a triple point wind convergence to occur directly over Brisbane in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, the Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe storm warning with damaging winds and large hailstones for parts of the Central Highlands, Coalfields and Capricornia.
Locations which may be affected include Rockhampton, Biloela, Yeppoon, Baralaba, Marlborough, Moura, Duaringa and Leura.
