CQU welcomes students to STEPS program
THE CQUniversity Bundaberg campus has welcomed more than 150 new students into the Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies (STEPS) program at a recent orientation day.
The head of the STEPS program, Chris Cook, said the intake for Term 2 studies in Bundaberg had surpassed expectations in terms of new student numbers.
"This is the most number of students we have accepted into the program at the Bundaberg campus, which is a great result and a testament to the quality of the program," he said.
"What's more, we also have more than 1200 students studying STEPS at other campuses and online."
The program delivers students with the essential skills required for academic success and can be studied by anyone interested in attending university, who, for one reason or another, may not meet the traditional entry requirements.
CQUniversity will also host STEPS information sessions for prospective students on Wednesday, September 16. Go to http://www.cqu.edu.au/events for more information on times and locations or phone the campus on 4150 7177.
