Stars Cars - Natalie Bassingthwaighte

TACKLING her new role in mini-series Brock, Nat Bass should now be no stranger to being around fast cars.

It's probably why the versatile actress/singer gets so frustrated with you Driving Miss Daisy slowcoaches out there.

We threw our car questions Nat's way to discover her motoring past and present.

What was your first car?

I had a blue Holden Barina. It wasn't brand new but it was my first and I loved it.

What are you driving now?

I have two cars. An Audi Q5 which I love to drive but it is a little small for my family. Our other car is a Holden Captiva, which has seven seats so we always have room for friends. And I love that it has (smartphone connectivity) Apple CarPlay.

What cars did your family have while you were growing up?

The car I remember the most was our maroon Mitsubishi van, which I learned to drive in. It was so big and had a column shift…I'm sure I looked hilarious!

What's your greatest frustration on the road?

I hate when people go too slow. It's so frustrating. I'm not saying they need to speed, but at least keep to the speed limit.

What's your favourite place in the world to drive?

It's quite good fun driving in America as you are on the opposite side of the road. It's so exhilarating.

Do you have any preferred driving music?

It depends on what mood I am in, but it's usually something upbeat.

Who's your ideal road trip companion?

I would have to say my best friend, Todd. We have known each other since kindy and have been best friends since.

What's your dream car if money is no object?

I'll take an Aston Martin please! (We reckon Nat would suit the new Aston DB11, so we'll let her have that.)

DREAM WHEELS: An Aston Martin DB11.
