Staff pour their hearts into fundraiser

CHILDERS Hospital's front gardens played host to Australia's Biggest Morning Tea on Wednesday morning with about 100 locals attending the fundraiser.

Staff from the Childers Hospital hosted the Wizard of Oz themed morning tea, which raised more than $670 for the Cancer Council of Queensland.

"It was great to see staff from the hospital, residents from our neighbouring retirement village, local mothers alongside their children and other community members support the morning tea," Childers Hospital acting director of nursing Deborah Davis said.

"I would particularly like to thank the members of staff that organised the morning tea, promoted it through our community, baked and supplied the food and sourced raffle prizes.

"Also, thank you to all the people who donated prizes for the raffle, including paintings, quilts, fruitcakes and some great prizes for best dressed children."
