Man stabbed in alleged murder attempt sent to Brisbane

A MAN who received wounds to his head in an alleged murder attempt has been moved from Townsville Hospital.

The 27-year-old Mackay man was allegedly attacked at a house in Beaconsfield on August 30.

He was initially transferred to Townsville Hospital and placed into an induced coma.

He was transferred to Royal Brisbane over the weekend in a stable condition.

Ryan Kayde Lowe appeared in the Mackay Magistrates Court on September 11 on attempted murder charges in relation to the incident.

He is to re-appear on November 6 via video link.
