Spring celebrations to begin

TOMORROW marks the start of spring and, with it, the month-long Bundy In Bloom celebration.

Throughout the month, there will be plenty of activities to get involved in, from art shows and markets to a garden expo and picnic.

Bundaberg Mayor Lorraine Pyefinch said every age and taste was catered for and the many events were spread across the region.

Some of the events include:

All month – Strawbodies in the Strawberries Scarecrow Competition at Tinaberries, Zinks Rd.

Friday and Saturday – Childers and Isis District Spring Orchid Show and Photography Competition at the Isis Cultural Centre.

Saturday – French Connection Spring Festival at Alexandra Park

Saturday, September 3, 10, 17, 25 – Bundaberg Art Society Open Days at Hazzard Gallery

Sunday – Branyan Road State School Market Day and Fete

Sunday – Tea and Symphony at Shalom College

Sunday – Spring Celebration in the Vineyard at Vintner's Secret Vineyard

Every September Sunday – Sunday Steam Trains at Bundaberg Botanic Gardens

Monday, September 12 & 19 – U3A Sings with Joy at 80A Woongarra St.

September 8 – Pyjama Day Charity Fashion Luncheon at The Waves
