Top teams clash

SOFTBALL: The joint leaders of Bundaberg's women's softball competition will face off in a top-of-the-table clash this Saturday.

The North Bundaberg Eels kept their place at the top of the standings after a 9-2 win over Brothers during the weekend.

Fellow competition leaders Bargara defeated the The Waves Tsunamis 9-6.

Heat still hot

SOFTBALL: The Brothers United Heat remain on top in the Bundaberg men's softball competition after Western Suburbs Lynx forfeited during the weekend.

They lead the competition by two points over the Bargara Bulls, who won 12-10 over The Waves Schooners for their fifth win in their past six matches.

In other results, the Souths Sluggers/Eels smashed The Waves Cruisers 19-3 and the Brothers United Flames beat the Bargara Bombers 13-2.

A dominant first innings set up the Flames' win.

The next round of the competition will be at Frank Coulthard Oval this Saturday.
