Christmas lunch held at Impact

FOR Elio Stocco, Christmas Day can be a lonely time.

But yesterday he got to enjoy Christmas lunch with more than 60 other people as staff from Impact Make Your Mark invited them to enjoy a few hours with them.

Mr Stocco, who said he had no family, said it was nice of the staff to give up their time and volunteer to serve Christmas lunch.

"It's very special, a very good thing," he said.

Organiser Kelly Harrison said the lunch was for people who weren't fortunate enough to have family around them on Christmas Day.

Mrs Harrison told the NewsMail the company had been putting on the Christmas lunch for seven or eight years.

She said they invited 65 people to get together for the event.

"We would like to do more but that's what we can do with our funding and capacity," she said.
