Smelly problem solution

BUNDABERG Regional Council is calling on residents who have a smelly problem to give them a call.

Council officers are keen to resolve an issue that appears to be getting up the nose of residents.

As the NewsMail reported yesterday, people have said they can smell a nightly stink at their doors after dusk.

Health and environmental services director Greg Savage has encouraged residents to contact council and register their concerns.

Mr Savage said he was aware there had been complaints about odours in various parts of the city, but unless the council received formal complaints, it was unable to act.

“We need to receive specific complaints about the odour issue.

“All complaints will be registered and investigated,” Mr Savage said.

Anyone wishing to make an inquiry or lodge a complaint with council should call 1300883699.
