Sister Cool to return to home turf

SISTER Cool will return to home turf tomorrow afternoon after collecting a win in Rockhampton last week.

It will start in box one of the Best Eight fixture — race six of nine on the day.

The in-form dog will be the main rival to Back Page, a dog that disappointed again last weekend.

A slow start proved costly for the champ, which despite a quick finish, could not make up the ground.

David Gear’s Oh My Papa will make the step up to the Best Eight, a move that excited the trainer.

“Oh My Papa’s been running well so going up against Back Page and those dogs should be a great little challenge,” he said.

Club president Brian Terry also pointed out race nine as one to watch.

The fourth and fifth grade 550m features the Geoff Healy trained Ruckus.

It has a terrific strike rate over the distance, winning two from four.

Its last win at the track also happened to be the jackpot win — a side-bet that was only collected if the winning dog’s number was drawn from the lottery.
