Sick Facebook group mocks Daniel

A FACEBOOK group offering to “give back Daniel Morcombe” if one million people join it has been condemned as a cruel hoax by angry Sunshine Coast residents.

But the group, reportedly started by a student under the “Just for Fun” and “Totally Pointless” causes of Facebook, is likely to die out very quickly with even its gutless administrators fleeing.

Despite TV coverage on the site, the group had just more than 150 members last night – and most of them were there to say how pathetic and heartless those behind the group were in trying to make fun out of the disappearance of the Palmwoods teenager.

“Who the hell would make fun of someone being kidnapped,” one wrote.

“U sick, sick people !!! what on earth possesses somebody to create such a group!,” another wrote.

“This is pathetic. i can not even begin 2 express how disgusted this makes me, and i am sure, the rest of australia! how could you do this!!.

“This young boy is someone’s son, a brother, grandson, friend!!! he didn’t ask 4 this !...! i can not understand what would be going through a persons mind in order for them 2 create this !! clearly you have no heart, no soul, and you had a really poor upbringing...’

Genuine Facebook groups for the search for Daniel Morcombe have attracted thousands of members. One group has 42,964 followers.
