Shoppers to pour back into Hinkler Central tomorrow
JUST one day to go.
After four months of blood, sweat and tears, Hinkler Central will reopen tomorrow and it's not just the customers who are happy about it.
Lorna Jane manager Tania Nicolas said it was exciting to finally be opening.
She had been contacted by a huge number of people about the reopening, she said.
"Either through Facebook or when they've seen us around town, it hasn't died off or stopped," she said.
Like most of the stores that needed to be rebuilt, Lorna Jane has had a few changes.
"The counter was moved, we've got new feature tables and the back room has changed," she said.
Ally Fashion visual merchandiser Amy Lee travelled from Sydney to help the Bundaberg store get ready for tomorrow's opening.
The Ally store has quadrupled in size which was done to create more of a feel in the store, she said.
"There'll be more furniture and props," she said.
Supre manager Teeana Dinsey said she couldn't wait for tomorrow.
"A lot of my friends have been missing the store," she said.
"The only thing left to do is restock and put up the racks."
Tomorrow's reopening at Hinkler will be celebrated with the Queensland State of Origin Team visiting the centre and a performance by X-Factor star Justin Standley.
The celebrations will continue on June 1-2 with My Kitchen Rules winners Dan and Steph coming for a cook-off, as well as live entertainment, face painting and stage shows throughout the weekend.
More than half the shops at Hinkler Central will open their doors tomorrow with the remainder to follow in June and July.
