Sharks face tough challenge to stop the Force

SOUTH Kolan faces a tough challenge stopping the Northern Force when they face them at home this weekend.

The Northern Districts Rugby League competition resumes on Sunday after a two-week break for the Wide Bay Trials and Easter.

And after losing 90-6 to the Force in the first match this season, the Sharks must now face them again - without some of their best players.

New Sharks president Kurt De Silva said it wasn't ideal but they were focused on putting in a good performance.

"They've had good training sessions recently,” he said.

"We're concentrating on the things that we can do.”

But that hasn't stopped the team from trying to find more players.

"For us it is all about getting consistent numbers together,” De Silva said.

"Boys are frantically ringing around to get more players.”

If you can help the side, phone De Silva on 0437056065.

The side faces the Force at Agnes Water at 3.15pm.

In the other match, Gin Gin plays Burnett Heads.
