New club shakes up the nightlife

BUNDABERG'S hottest new nightspot is set to open for business tonight after a successful VIP opening on Wednesday evening.

Sugarland Tavern manager Rory O'Connor said the private event at One Nightclub on Wednesday was a smash hit, with lots of positive reports rolling in.

"We've had excellent feedback from everyone," Mr O'Connor said.

"We had about 50 people there, but we can hold 800.

"People liked the VIP section and the bars."

The tavern manager said members of the community were excited about the opening of Bundaberg's only nightclub.

"People are saying they're having pre-One parties," he said.

He said all clientele were welcome so long as they dressed well and were on their best behaviour.

The club will open its doors for the first time at 9pm tonight.

"TV Rock will be playing, so we'll have some pretty high-profile dance DJs, which is great for Bundy," he said.

Entry is free before 10pm and costs $8 after 10pm.
