AN AGED-CARE home run by the Queensland Government may lose its funding after federal investigators found "serious concerns in relation to infection control, privacy and dignity at the home".

There were also allegations of violence, sexual impropriety and bullying at Cooinda House, a 60-bed residential care facility run by Queensland Health at Kippa-Ring north of Brisbane, The Courier-Mail reports.

Terrified residents fled when an inmate went on a rampage smashing a window with a chair, while a staff member reported his motorbike had been smashed.

Senior nurses told me a troubled woman who collected all her poo in zip-lock plastic bags for use as fertiliser in the flower garden was believed to be responsible for an infection emergency.
