Severe weather warning

A SEVERE weather warning has been issued for the Wide Bay Burnett region, with flash flooding and damaging wind gusts expected.

A flood warning is also current for coastal waters and inland streams south of Bundaberg, and a strong wind warning has been issued for waters from St Lawrence down to Burnett Heads.

Winds of up to 33 knots are predicted.

The Bureau of Meteorology has warned Bundaberg residents to expect moderate to heavy rain throughout the day, which may not ease until the evening.
