SES called to three homes

THE SES was called out to three homes during the severe storms that lashed the region last night.

Crews were called to help sandbag a home and to provide sandbags to another home, both at Moore Park Beach.

SES volunteers were also called to help put a tarp on a home in North Bundaberg.

More than 25mm of rain was recorded at Bundaberg Airport.

Bundaberg SES controller Bill Daniells said it was a timely reminder for residents to ensure their homes were storm safe before more wet weather hit the region.

"Make sure the gutters are cleaned out," he said.

Mr Daniells also urged residents to make sure their back yards were clean.
