THE Childers Choral Society has been hitting high notes with performances around the region.

The group entertained the crowds at recent Australia Day celebrations in Childers.

The Childers branch of the QCWA hosted the event and were thrilled to have the group perform.

The group welcomes new members and is particularly in need of some male voices to swell the ranks.

They have resumed practice on Mondays at 7.30pm at the Uniting Church Hall, Macrossan Street, and are busy learning new material to add to their repertoire.

They sing a wide variety of musical styles under the expert guidance of conductor David Horner.

The group is busy planning an intimate, small production for the near future and hopes to see new members sign up in time to join in.
