Science lab to be upgraded

MUNDUBBERA State School will soon have some budding Einsteins, with the school granted $249,990 to refurbish its science facilities.

The school is one of 10 across Queensland to receive a share in $9 million from the state government.

“The upgrades will involve redesigning old laboratories to support innovative teaching and learning and improve fixtures,” Premier Anna Bligh said.

Minister for Education Geoff Wilson said the announcement came on top of 83 other science projects across the state.

“Science is just one plank in an education that is vital and should be focused on a love and curiosity for learning,” he said.
