Schapelle's free from prison, but not from the jokes

THE joke's still on Schapelle Corby.

The convicted drug smuggler was barely out of the doors of Kerobokan Prison when social media jumped on the humour horse.

Businesses big and small are also having their fun with the latest.

Kawana Hardware got the jump over the weekend with its sign.

"Schapelle is moving to a new joint," it read.

Store owner Ian Whitten is well known for the roadside signs he puts outside his store.

He's poked fun at everything form Peter Slipper's travel expences to Shane Warne's looks.

The sign has been displayed outside the store on Nicklin Way since at least Sunday.

Nando's Australia also had a jab at her release.

"Schapelle, now that you're out, try out delicious Peri-Peri chicken," their most recent  Facebook image reads.

"The only bars you'll see are on our grill."

The joke was split on commentators.

"Shameful marketing ploy!!! Shame on you!" one wrote.

"Poor humor. I'll never buy your food again. Grow up," said another

Others saw the humour.

"LOL OH YOU GUYS! This is fantastic!" one fan said.

Another wrote, "Nandos you are my heroes"

The fast-food outlet defended the post in a comment.

"Nando's has built its reputation on being a bit challenging and cheeky," they said.

"We celebrate individualism and the right to free expression. It's not our intention to offend people, just to be a bit tongue in cheek with something that's gaining a lot of media attention.

"We wish Schapelle and her family all the best."
