Festival winner auctioned off

THE winning entry at the 2010 Captain Cook 1770 Festival Art Show watercolour section will be auctioned at the Bloom ’N’ Tune event held by the Salvation Army Tom Quinn Community Centre on Saturday.

“This work, by artist Don Woodley of Buderim, is quite stunning,” said communications and marketing consultant Janette Young, who provided the $500 sponsorship for the show category.

Other items to be auctioned include a set of garden furniture, two large armchairs and a table, a coffee table and a bookcase, plus a stock saddle which is being polished for the sale and is a generous donation from a centre supporter.
