That's not tinsel, that's a tiger snake in our tree!
IT WAS the perfect time to panic, but somehow the woman who discovered this tiger snake deep in the Christmas spirit somehow remained calm.
The yuletide stowaway turned up in the tree first thing this morning, shocking "Cheryl from Frankston", according to professional snake catcher Barry Goldsmith.
He told Buzzfeed he had discovered snakes around the base of Christmas trees before, but never actually in the tree.
"It did look a bit like tinsel! It was a very pretty snake."
Tiger snakes are commonly found through southern Australia, and are venomous.
