Riverview man, 58, dies in Warrego Hwy crash

A driver injured in a traffic crash at Dinmore last night has since died in hospital.

Initial investigations indicate the crash occurred around 6.10pm on the Warrego Highway in the vicinity of the Bremer River.

A 58-year-old Riverview man was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital but later died.

The other driver, a 43-year-old Lowood man, was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with serious injuries.

It is believed one vehicle may have been travelling on the incorrect side of the road before it collided head-on with another vehicle.

Both drivers were trapped in their vehicles before being extricated by emergency services.

The highway was closed at the scene whilst investigations were conducted but has since reopened.

Investigations into the crash are continuing with police appealing for any witnesses to contact Crime Stoppers.
