The right bite! Top 10 best burgers in Australia

LOOKING for the juiciest, biggest and best burger in all the land?

Here's your answer.

Travel and reviews website TripAdvisor has released its top 10 picks for the best burger joints in Australia.

Three Noosa venues feature in the prestigious burger-lovin' list.

The Burger Bar came in at number four, while Nosh Express was rated the sixth best place to grab a burger in the country.

But the top ranking went to Burger Lounge, Coolangatta, Queensland, a chef run operation serving up their fresh and tasty take on the classic meat and bun combo.

"Winning best burger in Australia really shows us that all our hard work over the last five years is appreciated by our customers," director and chef Jason Steele said.

The ranking is based on the reviews and opinions of TripAdvisor travellers, taking into account the quality, quantity and ratio of reviews mentioning burgers in reviews submitted over an 18-month period.

Establishments in the list are independently owned with a maximum of four restaurants belonging to the same chain, and are listed on TripAdvisor as offering either hamburger or American/barbeque cuisine.

But it seems the opinion of locals does not match that of visitors.

The Sunshine Coast Daily asked readers last week to rate their favourite place for a burger binge. Rick's Diner at Palmwoods came in at number one and Nosh Express did not rate a mention.

So if you are looking for the perfect patty, here is a rundown of Australia's best burger joints.
