PEOPLE flocked to Bargara in a bid to ogle the almost 100 cars on display for The Rum City Rods and Customs Inc Car Club's annual Bargara Beach Campout Car Show yesterday.

Leanna Barsby, one of the event organisers, said even the call of Bathurst didn't keep enthusiasts away, with big crowds arriving at Bargara to see the vast range of vehicles on display.

"It all went really well," Mrs Barsby said.

"There was close to 100 cars.

"The stall holders did well and there was a lot of people."

Mrs Barsby said there was something for everyone at the event with hot rods, four-wheel drives, drag cars and custom cars all on display.

"The weather has been fantastic with not a cloud in the sky," she said.

The feedback about the show was positive with organisers already thinking about next year's event.

"It's our fundraiser for the year so we'll be back next year and hopefully even bigger and better," Mrs Barsby said.

And it seems there won't be a shortage of people attending.

"The people love it," she said.

"People are very happy with how it all went."
