Record entries for Mt Perry draft
THE Mount Perry Rodeo Committee has received record nominations for its second two-day campdraft to be held at the Mt Perry Showground this weekend.
Committee president Trevor Clark said the campdraft was one of the major social functions in Mount Perry and would not be possible without the support of local graziers Ted Habermann and family of Eastern Creek, Alan May of Rosslyn, Peter and Narelle Christensen of Kalliwa, Jensco Grazing of Elliotts Creek and Dick and Fayleen Nichol of Currawong, who will loan more than 1000 head of cattle for the eight-event program which starts at 6am both days.
Ted Habermann is walking 800 head from properties in the Rosslyn/Eastern Creek area and Peter and Narelle Christensen are walking 160 head from their Kalliwa property.
Refreshments include breakfast each morning and a bar will be in operation. Patrons can enjoy a meal and DJ music until late on Saturday night.
