Readers' favourite hairdressers revealed

FINDING a good hairdresser doesn't seem to be an issue for Bundaberg residents.

When the NewMail asked our Facebook followers to name their favourite, we were overwhelmed with the response.

About 1200 people gave their favourite stylist a shout out and while there were a couple of stand outs, the support for all the region's hairdressers was nothing but positive.

Taking the top spot with the most votes - for the second year - was The Place, closely followed by Kayla's Expertease.

The Place owner Kiralee Cramer-Honor said providing quality service to their clients was top priority.

"The girls are well trained, we always do courses in Brisbane so they're always keeping up with the latest trend,” she said.

"We class ourselves a boutique...the clients are always pampered.”

Ms Cramer-Honor said opening longer hours to accommodate customers was also an important factor when it came to making sure customers were happy.

While Kayla's Expertease owner Kayla Pacey agreed that ongoing staff training, keeping up to date with the latest trends and catering to client's needs was essential.

"We have a great rapport with our clients,” she said.

"Silver blonde, balayage, ombre and pastels are in at the moment.

"If you don't listen to what they want they won't come back.”

Our Facebook followers were more than happy to provide feedback about what made their favourite stylists stand out.

Liz Tegan Meyer said she loved having her hair done by Tegan Meyer at Salon 37 on Hurst.

"She has been doing not only my hair but my mother's hair for 10 years or so and we have watched her grow from an adventurous, crazy apprentice to an amazing, talented fully-fledged hairdresser,” she said.

"She does an amazing job every time, always talks you through what is best for your hair/face shape/colour etc and has a brain fully of knowledge and love for her profession.”

Kathy Persal said for her, it was Aristocut Hair Design.

"The girls are awesome - friendly, thoughtful and I feel good being there before they even start on my hair,” she said.

"Courtney has been my hairdresser for a long time now. Thank you girls.”

Cassie Beardmore shared her love for Infusion Hair and Beauty.

"It took me eight times at another salon to go blonde,” she said.

"Cara got me there in one session! I cannot recommend her enough!”
