Ranger injured in tractor roll over on Fraser Island

THE RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to Eurong on Fraser Island on Sunday afternoon to airlift a man in his 20s who was injured when his tractor rolled.

The park ranger was pulling trees when a tree fell, hitting him on the head and rolling the tractor. He suffered a broken limb and suspected head injuries.

The helicopter landed shortly after 2:30pm with the CareFlight medical team on board to treat the man.

He was then flown to Bundaberg Base Hospital in a stable condition.
