Rainbow of colours shines spotlight on serious issue
THE PCYC will host Rainbow Day on Friday, a free Child Protection Week event aimed at children under five and their parents, grandparents and guardians.
Bundaberg service providers focused on children, youth and families will be on hand on Friday to remind event goers that protecting children is everybody's business.
PCYC Bundaberg branch manager John Kendall said the centre supported the event which prioritised child protection and encouraged the community to come along and enjoy the fun.
Branch support officer Tracy Dobson said the annual event also provided an opportunity for the community to find out about services and groups available for children and families in the Bundaberg region.
With a jumping castle sausage sizzle, police cars and fire trucks on display as well fun activities for the kids, head along to the PCYC at 37D Maryborough St from 9-11am.
