Rain to go away and then return

IT MAY have been just 1.6mm but the rain was the hot topic on everyone's lips yesterday.

Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Michael Paech said while we couldn't expect any massive downpours, the wet weather was not quite over.

"It's looking like continuing overnight (last night) and into (today)," Mr Paech said.

"We'll probably see an increase in showers along the coast tomorrow but around Bundaberg itself we're just looking at the chance of a shower.

"They're probably a bit more likely in the afternoon."

Mr Paech said the forecast was again "pretty similar" for Wednesday.

"Although it's probably clearing off a little later in the day," he said.

"Thursday and Friday should be quite clear with the showers heading offshore.

"We are expecting a return of showers over the weekend though."

Mr Paech said he expected temperatures to remain in the average with maximums around 23 to 24 degrees and minimums around 11.
