Qld woman killed on scooter Bali was set to marry driver boyfriend
POLICE in Bali have revealed that a young Townsville woman killed in a motorbike accident was set to marry her boyfriend, who was driving during the tragedy.

Steele Nugent, 23, has been officially declared a suspect in the crash earlier this week which killed his 27-year-old girlfriend Sophia Fiorella Martini.
But police say they have allowed him to return to Australia, pending further investigations and a promise to return to Bali if he is charged.

Mr Nugent now faces a nervous wait to find out if he will face criminal proceedings.
Police are considering a letter from Ms Martini's mother, begging that he not be charged, saying it can be taken into account under alternative dispute regulations under which he would not be charged.
