Prepare for summer storms

AS summer approaches, so does the likelihood of the season's unpredictable storms.

Emergency Management Queensland (EMQ) is urging Bundaberg residents to begin preparing themselves and their properties for wild weather.

EMQ regional director Peter Twomey said it was vital residents engaged with neighbours to further strengthen community responses in the event of adverse weather events.

“Small things, such as helping elderly neighbours clean up debris from their yard or helping a young family secure their pets, can greatly assist,” he said.
