Power reinstated at Bargara and Innes Park

UPDATE 5.15PM: Power has been restored to more than 2000 Ergon Energy customers in Bargara and Innes Park after crews isolated damaged equipment near the par-3 gold course at Innes Park.

The power supply to about 2300 customers was affected from 1.30pm, but this was reduced to 60 customers by 2.35pm.

Crews then completed the necessary repairs and power was fully reinstated shortly before 4pm.

UPDATE 3.45PM: There are now just 60 customers affected at Innes Park and their power should be reinstated about 5pm.

EARLIER: There has been a power supply interruption affecting about 2300 customers in southern parts of Bargara and northern parts of Innes Park.

All but a relatively small number of residential customers near the par 3 golf course at the Innes Park turn-off on Elliott Heads Road should have their power restored about mid-afternoon.

Crews will then need to complete some repairs to the network before reinstating power to the other customers later this afternoon.
