Police seek man for crimes

POLICE in Monto are seeking help from the public after a series of offences in the town in the early hours of Sunday, September 22.

Monto police said about 4.55am a man kicked and smashed the glass door of a clothing store in Newton Street.

The man then fled from the area.

Shortly after that incident a motorcycle and helmet were stolen from the rear of the Monto Post Office.

The motorcycle was later found abandoned a short distance away in the Lister Street Parkland.

It was around that time that someone tried to force entry into a farm supplies store in Lister Street.

The front door of the store was damaged.

Police believe all the offences are linked and the man pictured in this comfit may be able to help them with the investigation.

The man is described as being about 175cm tall, of proportionate build with an olive or tanned complexion.

He was wearing a khaki green long sleeved top with a large green and cream logo on the front, blue denim jeans and dark or red coloured shoes.
