Police searching for missing man last seen in Duaringa

POLICE are seeking public assistance to help locate a 27-year-old man reported missing from Duaringa, west of Rockhampton since Monday.

Cody McEwan-Cowie was last seen getting out of a friend's vehicle and walking near bushland off the Capricorn Highway near the Dawson River around 4pm on Monday.

Concern is held for his well-being as he was not in possession of any personal items or water at the time and it is out of character for him not to stay in contact with family.

Police want to speak with anyone who may have driven the man to another location or seen him in the area. He is described as Caucasian, about 170cm tall with a slim build, brown hair and blue eyes.

He was wearing a light-coloured t-shirt, shorts and no footwear.
