Police searching for missing boy in north Rocky

UPDATE 7.30PM: The missing boy has been found safe and well and is about to be reunited with his mother.

BREAKING 6PM: POLICE are searching for a young boy who has gone missing from a north Rockhampton caravan park.

Reports indicate the 10-year-old boy who is visiting the region and staying at the Riverside Tourist Park on Reaney St was last seen about 5pm.

The boy, described as caucasian with blonde hair and freckles is described as slim and wearing a green shirt with a yellow Angry Birds icon and burgundy shorts.

He was last seen riding a gold coloured scooter.

There are concerns for the boy due to the close location to the Fitzroy River and the fact he cannot swim.

Police are patrolling through the caravan park, along the riverbank and around the PCYC and skate park.

Anyone who has seen the young boy is urged to contact Policelink on 131 444 immediately.
