Police appeal for crash witnesses

BUNDABERG police are appealing for information about a serious car crash that occurred on Goodwood Road on Friday.

Initial investigations suggest a gold Mitsubishi Verada sedan was travelling north towards Bundaberg when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to roll a number of times.

There were four people in the vehicle and one of the passengers, a 27-year-old Bundaberg man, received spinal injuries as a result of the crash.

He was transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital.

The three other occupants received minor injuries after the vehicle veered off the road and flipped, stopping on a paddock fence.

Police believe the vehicle was driving in a dangerous manner before the crash and may have overtaken a utility towing a trailer.

Bundaberg police would like to speak with anyone who may have seen the car or has any information in relation to the incident.

The crash happened about 12.20pm.

Anyone with information that could help with investigations can contact Bundaberg police on 4153 9111 or Crime Stoppers anonymously via 1800 333 000 or the website crimestoppers.com.au.
