Police need our help to fight crime, find suspects

TOOWOOMBA has its fair share of criminals.

But no more than any other city of a similar size.

Actually, the crime figures for our region show that in many categories, crime is decreasing.

Police are well resourced but there will never be enough to stop crime completely.

That is why police rely on the public for assistance.

And they are putting out another call for residents' help.

CCTV footage and images of suspected offenders are routinely published by police on the Darling Downs police blog.

Crime Prevention Unit officer Sergeant Tony Rehn said the images were released online and were updated regularly as police inquiries resolved the matters.
