Police lay attempted murder charges over multiple stabbing

POLICE have charged two men over a stabbing at a unit complex in Southport on the Gold Coast on September 17. 

Police say about 5.30pm on the day in question a 47 year-old man was stabbed several times after he answered the front door of unit on Warendo St, 

He was later taken to Gld Coast University Hospital in a serious condition. 

A 24-year-old man from Booval was charged with one count each of attempted murder and enter dwelling with intent on September 18.

A 32-year-old Southport man was taken into custody this afternoon and has been charged with wounding and assault occasioning bodily harm.

He is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow, September 28.
