Photos show armed hold-up at Kepnock bottle shop

UPDATE:  Police are still hunting the man who allegedly held up Urban Cellars last night, who they say escaped down Baker St. 

Preliminary information indicates that a man wearing a balaclava entered the Elliott Heads Rd business around 7pm.

The man stole money from the cash register before fleeing on foot. 

He was last seen running in a westerly direction along Baker St.

A female store attendant was not physically injured and police investigations are continuing.

The man is described as Caucasian, approximately late teens to mid 20s, 175cms tall, proportionate build with short dark hair and a tanned complexion. 

He was wearing a black baseball cap, a black hooded jumper, grey long pants and white sneakers, and carrying a green duffle bag.

Police are investigating links between this incident and the armed robbery at the Leading Edge Video store on Maryborough Street, Bundaberg on February 1, 2014.

Preliminary information indicates that a man wearing a balaclava entered the Elliott Heads Road business, wielding a machete, around 7pm.

The man stole money from the cash register before fleeing on foot.

A female store attendant was not physically injured and police investigations are continuing.

The man is described as Caucasian, approximately 175cms tall with a proportionate build.

EARLIER: Bundaberg Police are investigating an armed hold up at a Kepnock bottle shop overnight.

Sergeant Michael Prickett said at 7.06pm a male person armed with a knife, or something similar, held up a shop attendant at the Urban Cellars store on Elliott Heads Rd.

He said the dog squad had been called in and police were at the scene.
