Police investigate suspicious death

POLICE are investigating the suspicious death of a man at a house in Gin Gin early yesterday morning.

A police spokesman said police were called to a Gin Gin-Mt Perry Rd address shortly before 3am yesterday and found the man dead.

Forensic and Criminal Investigations Branch officers were at the site yesterday investigating the death.

Although details were sketchy yesterday, Bundaberg CIB Detective Senior Sergeant Joe Hildred confirmed the man's death.

"A man is assisting police with their inquiries," he said.

"Investigations are continuing."

Snr Sgt Hildred said scientific officers travelled from Brisbane yesterday to help with the investigation.

Scenes of Crime officers were also at the site yesterday.

Snr Sgt Hildred would not release any details of how the man died.

The man's next of kin had yet to be notified of his death yesterday.
