Police hunt male jogger after shock one-punch death

POLICE are attempting to find a mystery male runner after a man suffered a fatal blow, thought to be a one-punch attack, last weekend.

Timothy Lang, 48, had his life support turned of on Monday afternoon, after being allegedly punched by the jogger following an "exchange of words".

Police believe the two men crossed paths while travelling opposite directions.

After the punch, police believe Mr Lang "lost consciousness and fell to the footpath".

Police are also asking for anyone who may have seen the incident, which took place at 10.15am in Melbourne St in South Brisbane on Saturday morning.

He is thought to have fled the scene in the direction of Merivale St.

The jogger is described as about 170cm tall, with short dark hair and was shirtless, but wearing black running shorts with a red top tucked in to the waistband.
