Police call for information on suspicious death of infant

POLICE investigating the suspicious death of an infant in Maryborough on September 1 are appealing for help with their investigation.

Police said they would like to speak to anyone who may have been in Ululah Lagoon (Anzac Park) on the corner of Alice and Cheapside Sts after 6pm on Friday, August 30, and Saturday, August 31.

Specifically police would like to speak to a man who is described as aged in his late 30s or 40s, wearing a beanie.

Anyone with information that would help police is urged to phone Maryborough Child Protection Unit on 4123 8166 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
